Bio oil is really good for acne scars and stretch mark scars. It is an oil but its quite dry so doesnt make you feel greasy. Alternatively if you have the money try microdermabrasion as this will remove scar tissue.

This type of scar is know as a ';Keloid'; scar and some people just tend to scar that way. For normal scars, I have had very good results with ';Concha Nacar';. There are over-the-counter remedies that help prevent or reduce acne but there are none that help with meaningful scar removal. In fact there are no prescription only medication s that will do this either. Retin A or Vitamin A is used to shrink skin tissue and reduces wrinkles but the scar tissue is there for life.





The only thing that works .... depending on the depth and severity of the scaring is a procedure called ';derm-abrasion'; where the doctor literally sands down the skin to a layer that grows back more evenly.The level of abrasion they do is like skinning a knee so you really need a professional to do this. Better not go to any salon, they'll pocket your money and leave you worse off than when you came in. Don't let anyone do anything to your face. I have heard stories where people got skin infections from going to the salons. They won't help you with your problem, they'll only add to it.





As for acne scars, if they are recent, try putting aloe vera juice on them. Get the plant, cut off a piece, rinse it well, and squeeze out the gel like substance. Apply it overnight on a cleaned face. Wash it off in the morning.





For older scars, the only thing that will help in fading them are tears ( as in tears like when people cry). When you cry , smooth your tears over the problem areas and leave it on overnight. The more times you do that, the smoother and firmer that area of your skin will become. Are you talking about ice pick scars or hyperpimented scars with some dermal damage??? B/C with the ice pick scarring it is very hard to remove. You will want to look into what is called ';needling';. It is where a licenced practicioner works over your face and pokes superficial holes (very very tiny) into the dermis creating the dermis to, in a sense, think it is wounded and start healing~~ Which tightens up and plumps up the face SO MUCH you will be like HOLY *#!#!!!! It works amazing but you want someone who is really good. Alot of the times permanent makeup artists (I am one) are licenced. Also estheticians, dermatologists and plastic surgeons maybe aswell.





Ok so if you are looking for hyperpigmented scarring I recommend IPL's aka intense pulse light. In terms of hyerpigmentation a photofacial will work wonders for that. Usually you can get a package of 5 sessions for around $1000. Or go session by session but you will probebly need more than one and even if you dont you will LOVE the results and want to go back for more.





If you have minor pit scars you should go in for some microdermabrasion. 5 sessions. Most med spas offer this along side with a chemical peel and this will wipe out your scars in no time.





ADVICE:::::::make sure you KNOW who you are going to. If you are going to do laser. DO NOT TAN!~~~~ I REPEAT!!!!~~~~ DO NOT TAN. This means for at least 5 weeks before a procedure. Most lasers are designed to ';go after pigment'; and that means melanin.

I am a 16 year old male and have various acne questions. First, I have tried many acne products, done as instructed and all it has done is dry my face out to the extreme. Now I am trying this weird mix of many things right now of: Clean and Clear black head remover (face wash and tool) some cleanser and a face moisurizer pimple preventing thing. My face is still drying out... just not as fast but i have no change in acne.. What is the best thing for me to do? I eat very healthy drink lots of water and have no pop what so ever.

OK, it's a scam. You can easily tell that the tattoo in the pictures is not removed. What they've done is fade it in photoshop to make it look like the tattoo has been removed with the solution. I have struggled with acne for decades ( I am 34) and I recently started using Differin to get it under control. I have the bad texture/scars/craters on my cheeks too. I now get micro derma brasion and chemical peels every six weeks. It has really helped alot. I go to Nordstrom for the services and they charge $75 per session. If that is not in your budget, I can honestly say that there are at home things you can try too that I know work. I also use MD Skincare by Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Daily Face Peel. I use them every other day in the morning. I can really say that they have helped with my pore size and make my scaring look a lot lighter and softer. Make sure you don't let your face get dry because that will make the scaring look so much worse. And finally, if you still have acne, try to get to the root of the problem so you can get it under control. Mine is hormonal, but I am finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. use hydrocortisone cream!! It's really inexpensive and can be found just at a pharmacy. It's supposed to be used for insect bites and stuff like that...but I've been putting it on my acne scars for about a week now and they're almost gone! :)

I'm in grade 11, had bad acne since grade 6. It's pretty much ruined my whole life up until now. I've been on EVERYTHING you can possibly imagine, including quite recently, Accutane. I ******* hated it to be quite honest. It dried the **** out of my face and the redness made me look like a sun dried tomato or some ****.





ANYWAYS, the Accutane kind of did help, but I had to get off of it after 5 months because my cholesterol got really high. It still looks like I have acne, but none of it really is... It's just scarring. There are like huge red marks all over. I only have a few pimples, which are relatively small and unnoticeable compared to the scars/marks.





To make a long story short, I've decided not to go back on Accutane, and I want to know if there are any good acne remedies/products out there I can use to make sure the pimples don't come back? Is this that e-raze thing? if it is, i have had it done and it has left the most awful scar ever. I dont know if its the same thing but they basically tatoo over the tattoo with this stuff and its meant to disolve or bring the colour to the surface. I had one treatment after having lazer treatment which became too expensive. the e-raze was a lot cheaper but the biggest mistake i have ever made.
why not get youre doctor to refer you to a skin specialist first?


That way you can be sure of good advice first, before you do anything drastic.


Make sure you dont suffer from keloid scarring, which will leave hard lumpy skin tissue.


I think it really depends where youre tatttoo is?, bare in mind the skin is alot thinnner in places. General health plays a part in the healing process too, so make sure you are feeling tip top. That way you will be less prone to getting any infections afterwards.


Seek advice from a doctor before you do anything, you dont want to end up with a nasty scar in place of youre tattoo.

Well, i've noticed that since they are scars, only time will heal them. Try not to pick at them and ask your dermatologist for help(but you won't get any help).
